Yakshagana has emerged in the present times as a unique art form and is immensely popular in coastal Karnataka, India, which includes the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shimoga, Chikkamagalur, Coorg, and the adjoining areas like Kasaragodu in Kerala State.
