Población, tierras y sociedad de frontera en Sumampa (sur de Santiago del Estero), a fines del siglo XVIII
A travs de un censo eclesistico de 1794 y de documentacin sobre tierras, este trabajo examina la sociedad de Sumampa, sur de Santiago del Estero. Postula un proceso de poblamiento ms tardo y alternativo al de la zona comprendida entre los ros Dulce y Salado, independiente del reparto de encomiendas y de mercedes de tierra.
