Matriarchy, Buddhism, and food security in Sanephong, Thailand
Sanephong is a matriarchal Karen community located in western Thailand. The community benefits greatly from the availability of local foods, such as cereals, tubers, wild vegetables, mushrooms, fruits, and animals.
