Teaching students with visual impairments in an inclusive educational setting
Using the data set from teachers and students and utilising both qualitative and quantitative techniques for analysis, I discuss teaching style considerations in Nepal’s mainstream schools for students with visual impairments. Results of the econometric analysis show that teachers’ years of schooling, teaching experience, and using blackboard were positively correlated to teaching style adjustment, whereas negative correlation of their age indica…

This paper explores the challenges and strengths of teachers with a visual impairments teaching in Nepal's mainstream schools, using qualitative interviews of teachers and principals, as well as a student survey data set. Results showed that teachers with visual impairments tend not to teach subjects such as science and mathematics that require frequent use of a blackboard or illustrations of formulas. Social inclusion of people with disabilities
This paper discusses the issue of social inclusion of people with disabilities who acquired impairments through Nepal’s decade-long insurgency. In-depth qualitative interviews have been conducted with nine individuals. A disparity in government facilities and services was observed, whereby the combatants reported receiving fewer services than the Nepali army. In this article, barriers faced by Nepalese with disabilities in obtaining a school education are discussed. The study employed both quantitative and qualitative method to analyse the barrier using unique data collected from survey and in-depth interviews.
