  • The effects of attention and memory representations on change blindness during global motion direction transients in traffic-scene images

Ruyue REN, Yu Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

  • Parental psychological control, socially prescribed perfectionism, depression, and suicidal ideation among university students: A chain mediation model

Open Access•Rihui Wu, Jijun Lan et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Psychology•2026

Suicide represents a pressing public health issue for college students worldwide, with suicidal ideation often viewed as a central psychological marker. Alongside emotional risks such as depression, family dynamics like parental psychological control and cognitive patterns such as socially prescribed perfectionism may relate to elevated suicidal ideation. Drawing on the stress susceptibility model, this study examines how parental psychological c…

  • How Does Empowering Leadership Relate to Work Engagement? The Roles of Organisational Identification and Workplace Well-Being

Open Access•Saifang Liu, Xiaoxi Han et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•2024

Scholars tend to believe that effective leadership contributes to facilitating employee work engagement. Based on social identity theory and self-determination theory, this study explored how empowering leadership affects employee work engagement through the mediating roles of organisational identification and workplace well-being. A sample of 3645 front-line employees in China participated in this study. A structural equation model analysis was …

  • The Role of Work Engagement in the Association between Psychological Capital and Safety Citizenship Behavior in Coal Miners: A Mediation Analysis

With the development of science and technology and the increasing importance attached by to these domains by the state and government departments in recent years, China's coal production and safety supervision level continue to increase. However, the prevalence of frequent coal mine safety accidents has not been effectively curbed. The main purpose of this study was to explore the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between psyc…

  • How social networking site addiction drives university students’ academic achievement: The mediating role of learning engagement

Open Access•Yuan Li, Chong Yao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Pacific Rim Psychology•2019

The main aim of this study was to explore the mediating role of learning engagement on the relationship between social networking site (SNS) addiction and academic achievement among 406 university students. The Social Networking Site Addiction Scale, Utrecht Work Engagement Scale for Students, and Chinese Students Academic Achievement Scale were used to evaluate students’ SNS addiction, learning engagement, and academic achievement.
