  • Bringing Another Perspective to Bear on the Factor Structure of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2

John Blaha, Scott P Merydith et al.•ARTICLE•Measurement and Evaluation in…•2001•References: 1

A hierarchical factor solution on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory—2 standardization sample found a general psychopathology factor and 4 primary factors similar to those reported by J. N. Butcher, W. G. Dahlstrom, J. R. Graham, A. Tellegen, & B. Kaemmer (1989)

  • Note on the Construct Validity of the Multidimensional Aptitude Battery

Open Access•MYUNG SOOK LEE, Fred H Wallbrown et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1990

A Wherry-Wherry (1969) hierarchical factor solution was obtained for the intercorrelations among subtests of the Multidimensional Aptitude Battery for a sample of 3,121 high school students reported by Jackson (1984). An hierarchical arrangement of abilities consisting of a strong g-factor and two primaries corresponding to the verbal-education ( v.ed) and spatial-perceptual-mechanical ( k:m) parameters from Vernon's 1950 structural model were ob…

  • Dimensions of Classroom Behavior for Kindergarten Children

    Open Access•Jane D Wallbrown, Ann W Engin et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1976

The construct validity of the Devereux Elementary School Behavior Rating Scale (Spivack & Swift, 1967) was investigated for a sample of 408 children enrolled in the 15 kindergarten classes of a suburban school system. The 9 teachers completed behavioral ratings for the children in their classes during 1 wk. in May, 1974. A principal-factor solution was obtained on intercorrelations among the 47 behaviors included in the Devereux scale and the fac…

  • Hierarchical Factor Structure of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children

    Open Access•John Blaha, Fred H Wallbrown et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1974

A Wherry-Wherry (1969) hierarchical factor analysis was performed on WISC subtest intercorrelations reported by Wechsler (1949). An hierarchical ability arrangement congruent with Vernon's (1950) structural paradigm was obtained. A strong general factor (g) was defined by positive loadings from all subtests and two relatively weak subgeneral factors; a subgeneral factor corresponding to Vernon's (1950) verbal-educational (v:ed) factor was defined…

  • The Hierarchical Factor Structure of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale

Open Access•Fred H Wallbrown, John Blaha et al.•ARTICLE•British Journal of Educational…•1974

S ummary . A Wherry‐Wherry (1969) hierarchical factor solution was obtained on WAIS subtest intercorrelations reported by Wechsler (1955, 1958) and Doppelt and Wallace (1955) for the following age groups: 16–17, 18–19, 25–34, 45–54, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74 and 75+. An hierarchical arrangement of abilities highly congruent with Vernon's (1950) paradigm of cognitive structure was obtained. A strong g‐factor and two major group factors were clearly evid…
