Study on the Evolution of Public Opinion Dynamics and Control Strategies for Collaborative Management by Government, Mainstream Media, and Self-Media
The rising trend of information fusion on social media renders single-channel approaches to public opinion management increasingly inefficient in an age of multifaceted information dissemination. A multientity collaborative governance model offers a promising solution to this challenge, as it facilitates innovative cooperation and collective governance paradigms for public opinion management. Moreover, it can effectively address personalized info…
Social interaction and functional status among community-dwelling older adults in Japan: A longitudinal study during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic
Introduction: Previous studies have shown that social relationships positively contribute to functional status. However, studies comparing the influence under changing social circumstances are still limited. Consequently, this study investigated how social interaction influenced long-term functional status among older Japanese adults before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A two-wave longitudinal cohort design was used to compare pre-pa…
The trajectory of functional status among older adults with chronic diseases and the association with social relationships
Background: Functional status crucially affects healthy aging. Identifying trajectory of functional status and related determinants is important. We aimed to identify the trajectory of functional status over 6 years among older adults with chronic diseases and its association with social relationships. Methods: A latent class growth model analysis was conducted to explore the trajectory of functional status using three time points over 6 years. A…
Identification and prediction of frailty among community-dwelling older Japanese adults based on Bayesian network analysis: A cross-sectional and longitudinal study
Frailty and its progression are prevalent among community-dwelling older adults and are influenced by various factors, including age, physical function, and social relationships. BNs facilitate the identification of interrelationships among these variables, quantify the influence of key factors. However, further research is required to validate the proposed model
Longitudinal assessment of the relationship between frailty and social relationships among Japanese older adults: A random intercept cross-lagged panel model
The results suggest that frailty was associated with lower levels of social relationships. Frailty improvement programs can be combined with interventions to enhance social relationships, which will be beneficial in preventing frailty. The results emphasize the importance of combining clinical treatments of frailty with interventions to improve social relationships
Bidirectional relations between self-control and cooperation among Japanese preschoolers: A random-intercept cross-lagged panel analysis
Subtyping of Internalizing and Externalizing Behaviors in Japanese Community-Based Children: A Latent Class Analysis and Association with Family Activities
Externalizing and internalizing behavioral problems occurs at a high rate among children. However, this has rarely been examined among Japanese children using a person-oriented method. Hence, this study aims to explore its subtypes and clarify their association with family-based group activities. We conducted a cross-sectional survey in a typical community-based suburban area for all families with primary school children in Japan. We investigated…
