  • Multi-herb formulations modulating gut microbiota

    Open Access•Min-Seok Cho, In-Seon Lee et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Multi-herb formulations, characterized by their complex synergistic compositions, are widely used in traditional medicine to modulate the gut microbiota. However, identifying reproducible herb-microbiota associations across disparate clinical settings remains a significant methodological challenge. AIM OF THE STUDY: This study aims to systematically synthesize human clinical evidence to map the modulation patterns …

    Open Access•Hyejin Park, Min-Young Hong et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2020

Anti-smoking advertisements are widely used to demonstrate to smokers the harm of smoking, and graphic health warnings (GHWs) are expected to have a positive effect on the intention to quit smoking. • Effect of Cold Acclimation on Antioxidant Status in Cold Acclimated Skaters

Open Access•Jung Hee Hong, Ki Jin Kim et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of PHYSIOLOGICAL…•2008

We investigated whether cold acclimation leads to increased activity of the antioxidant defense enzymes and muscle injury. Comparisons were between short track skaters (n=6) and inline skaters (n=6) during rest and at submaximal cycling (65% VO2max) in cold (ambient temperature: 5+/-1 degrees C, relative humidity: 41+/-8%) and warm conditions (ambient temperature: 21+/-1 degrees C, relative humidity: 35+/-5%), during 60 min, respectively, and dur…
