  • Forests, pastures, and furnaces in the south-eastern Alps

Open Access•Giorgio Piazzalunga, Marta Dal Corso et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropocene•2026

Drawing on the Lake Caldonazzo sedimentary record (Valsugana, Italy), this study reconstructs palaeoecological dynamics from the 6th to 1st millennium BCE, revealing the environmental imprint of pre-protohistoric copper mining in the south-eastern Alps. Integrating bio- and geochemical proxies (micro-botanical data, micro-charcoal, faecal biomarkers, and trace elements) we reconstruct the interplay between environmental dynamics and anthropogenic…

  • The Bronze Age settlement of Fondo Paviani (Italy) in its territory. Hydrography, settlement distribution, environment and in-site analysis

Open Access•Elisa Dalla Longa, Marta Dal Corso et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2019

  • Estimating C4 plant consumption in Bronze Age Northeastern Italy through stable carbon and nitrogen isotopes in bone collagen

    Open Access•M A Tafuri, M Rottoli et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2018•Citada por: 7•Referencias: 31

The application of biomolecular techniques for the study of food practices in the Italian Bronze Age has revealed an interesting complexity. This is particularly true for the Po plain, in northern Italy, where the use of "alternative" grains (i.e., the millets) has been assessed isotopically through the measurement of stable carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N) isotope ratios in human and animal bone collagen at the site of Olmo di Nogara (Verona). …

  • Micromorphologies of amber beads

    A Strafella, I Angelini et al.•ARTICLE•Praehistorische Zeitschrift•2017

  • Bronze Age crop processing evidence in the phytolith assemblages from the ditch and fen around Fondo Paviani, northern Italy

Open Access•Marta Dal Corso, Cristiano Nicosia et al.•ARTICLE•Vegetation History and…•2016•Citada por: 5•Referencias: 22
