Although Corsica is the fourth largest island in the Mediterranean, its archaeology is internationally less well known than that of many smaller Mediterranean islands. L'abri sous roche ďAraguina-Sennola dont l'étude se poursuit depuis 1966 a permis d'identifier un niveau du Néolithique ancien méditerranéen (couche XVII), qui fut daté de 4700 ± 140 B.C. et qui livra un ensemble d'informations relatives au genre de vie de ces préhistoriques. Collecteurs de coquillages, pêcheurs, chasseurs et peut-être agriculteurs, ces Néolithiques inhumaient leurs morts dans l'habitat, à proximité du foyer. Le commerce était as…
