BACKGROUND: This study evaluated the effectiveness of the mental health promotion program MindMatters in primary schools. METHODS: A cluster randomized controlled trial (2021-2023) included 37 German primary schools (18 intervention, 19 control). Reliability was measured using Cronbach’s alpha, and logistic regress…

  • Sex-specific trunk movement coordination in participants with low-back pain and asymptomatic controls

Open Access•Lisa Fischer, Arno Schroll et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Sports and Active…•2025

Low-back pain intensity and chronicity was not associated with lumbo-pelvic posture and kinematics, indicating that lumbo-pelvic posture and kinematics during a trunk flexion movement have limited practicality in the clinical diagnosis and management of low-back pain. On the other hand, the increased local instability of the trunk during the cyclic coordination task studied indicates control errors in the regulation of trunk movement in participa…

Open Access•Pia Rangnow, Lisa Fischer et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

While there is much focus on health literacy (HL) among the general population, teachers have been rarely addressed. Given the shortages in the teaching workforce in Europe and the impact of demanding working conditions on their health, it is important to address DHL in teachers. This paper examines the DHL o…

  • Securing Moral Authority

    Open Access•Olivia Mettang, Eva-Maria Euchner et al.•ARTICLE•Voluntas Revista Internacional de…•2023•Cited by: 1•References: 7

Churches have a hard time defending their moral values in the political sphere of an ever more secular and liberal Western Europe. A largely neglected means of navigating this crisis is through the Church’s role as a charitable provider during the implementation of morality policies. This paper examines this type of church involvement from a cross-national and cross-sectoral perspective. We describe the activities of Protestant churches in four m…
