  • Climate changes and hydrological responses in the Tianshan Mountains and the northern Basins

    Open Access•Z-D Feng•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2015

  • Bioclimatic change of the past 2500 years within the Balkhash Basin, eastern Kazakhstan, Central Asia

    Z-D Feng, H N Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2013

  • Hydrological and ecological responses to climatic change and to land-use/land-cover changes in Central Asia

    Open Access•Z-D Feng•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2013

  • Geomorphological and sedimentological precautions in radiocarbon dating of eolian and lacustrine sequences in arid Asia

Open Access•Z-D Feng, Min Ran et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2013

  • Holocene climate variations retrieved from Gun Nuur lake-sediment core in the northern Mongolian Plateau

    Open Access•Z-D Feng, YZ Ma et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2013•Cited by: 1•References: 11

Our pollen-based climate reconstruction shows that both temperature and moisture were low during the early Holocene from ~10,000 to ~8000 cal. a BP and gradually climbed from ~8000 to ~6000 cal. a BP. The last ~6000 years have been generally warm and wet with high-amplitude fluctuations. The high-moisture conditions for the past ~6000 years are not only corroborated by high arboreal pollen/non-arboreal (AP/NAP; trees and shrubs over herbs) pollen…

  • Stratigraphies and chronologies of late Quaternary loess–paleosol sequences in the core area of the central Asian arid zone

  • Holocene climatic and environmental changes in the arid and semi-arid areas of China: A review

    Open Access•Zhuo Feng, Z-D Feng et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2006

This paper reviews recently published literature, most of which was published in Chinese, and searches for regional patterns of Holocene changes useful in depicting global patterns. The Holocene in the Xinjiang region can be divided into three stages: a warming and dry early stage (from 11 10 to 8-7 ka BP), a warm and wet middle stage (from 8-7 to 4.5-3 ka BP) and a fluctuating cool and dry late stage (since 4.5-3 ka BP). The Holocene in the nort…

  • Lacustrine and eolian records of Holocene climate changes in the Mongolian Plateau: Preliminary results

    Open Access•Z-D Feng, W G Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2005

    Open Access•Z-D Feng, H B Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2004

    Open Access•Z-D Feng•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2001
