  • The Transfer of China’s Energy-Intensive Industries Under Environmental Regulation

Open Access•Liming Hu, Huilin Wang et al.•ARTICLE•SAGE Open•2025

As energy-intensive industries significantly impact the ecological environment, they serve as both foundational sectors for national economic development and cornerstones for ensuring the security and stability of industrial and supply chains. These industries are critical for promoting regional sustainable development. Considering the multiple challenges posed by the development of energy-intensive industries in China, such as environmental gove…

  • Subsurface Transport Behavior of Micro-Nano Bubbles and Potential Applications for Groundwater Remediation

Open Access•Hengzhen Li, Liming Hu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2013

Micro-nano bubbles (MNBs) are tiny bubbles with diameters on the order of micrometers and nanometers, showing great potential in environmental remediation. However, the application is only in the beginning stages and remains to be intensively studied. In order to explore the possible use of MNBs in groundwater contaminant removal, this study focuses on the transport of MNBs in porous media and dissolution processes. The bubble diameter distributi…

  • A high-resolution record of Holocene environmental and climatic changes from Lake Balikun (Xinjiang, China)

    Open Access•Cheng-Bang An, Yanbin Lu et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2011•Cited by: 7•References: 10

A high-resolution record of Holocene environmental and climatic change in the Balikun area was reconstructed from a sediment core from the Lake Balikun. Multiproxy data show that the climate was extremely arid during the early Holocene (before 8.6 cal. ka BP). Moisture began to increase after 8.6 cal. ka BP and the climate was humid between 7.9 and 4.3 cal. ka BP. A significant dry event occurred around 4.3–3.8 cal. ka BP. The climate became gene…
