  • Does the environmental tax influence the siting of foreign-invested manufacturing enterprises? Evidence from China

Yongsheng Lin, Qiuyue Yin et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Environmental Planning…•2024

Based on unique firm-level microdata, this study adopts the conditional logit model to empirically evaluate the impact of the environmental tax on the siting of foreign-invested manufacturing enterprises. We also explore the trade-offs of the environmental tax by assessing its economic costs and benefits. This study finds that the environmental tax has a statistically significant and negative impact on the siting of foreign-invested enterprises, …

  • Who Is More Likely to Become a Sustainable Corporation? An Empirical Research Based on Corporate Sustainability Performance

    Open Access•Yongsheng Lin, Yifan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development•2024•Cited by: 2•References: 5

To achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs), it is imperative to discern the catalysts behind corporate sustainability performance (CSP) to attain sustainability. However, these drivers were commonly perceived as following parallel trajectories, neglecting their hierarchical progression nature and leading to misinterpretation when identifying their internal influencing mechanisms. Therefore, this paper employed a three‐layer hierarchical …

  • A high propensity for excessive daytime sleepiness independent of lifestyle is associated with cognitive performance in community-dwelling older adults

Open Access•Junxin Wu, Zijing Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

High propensity for excessive daytime sleepiness, irrespective of lifestyle, is associated with poorer cognitive performance among community-dwelling older adults. The findings may provide empirical evidence to support sleepiness intervention for reducing the risk of cognitive decline

  • Machine learning-based classification of circadian rhythm characteristics for mild cognitive impairment in the elderly

Open Access•Zhizhen Liu, Lin Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

Introduction Using wrist-wearable sensors to ecological transient assessment may provide a more valid assessment of physical activity, sedentary time, sleep and circadian rhythm than self-reported questionnaires, but has not been used widely to study the association with mild cognitive impairment and their characteristics. Methods 31 normal cognitive ability participants and 68 MCI participants were monitored with tri-axial accelerometer and noct…
