  • The effects of gender, age and region on rural teachers’ professional honor

Open Access•Yuyi Chen, Wenhai Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Education•2025

Professional honor is a critical factor shaping the recruitment and retention of teachers in rural China. This study examines the influence of demographic factors—gender, age, and region—on professional honor among 1,320 rural teachers across seven Chinese provinces. Using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), the reliability of the professional honor scale was established (χ 2 /df = 6.249; RMSEA = 0.063). Comparative analyses revealed significant …

  • Effect of empathy trait on attention to positive emotional stimuli

Open Access•Ping Liu, Juncai Sun et al.•ARTICLE•Current Psychology•2022

  • Emotional Contexts Modulate Anticipatory Late Positive Component and Reward Feedback Negativity in Adolescents With Major Depressive Disorder

Open Access•Wenhai Zhang, Caizhi Liao et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2020

These findings suggest that MDD adolescents exhibited dissociable deficits in reward anticipation and gain or loss feedback that are distinctly modulated by emotional contexts, and they deepen our understanding of the modulation of emotional contexts on the temporal dynamic reorganization of the reward circuit in MDD adolescents

  • The implicit advantage of a high kindness trait in the action control of emotion regulation

Juncai Sun, Fengjiao XUN et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2019

Kindness is a desirable trait to possess, and it is therefore commendable to investigate its link with self-regulation and, in particular, emotion regulation. Implicit processes in general are much more consistent and reliable, as they are triggered automatically and run to completion without conscious effort or monitoring. Therefore, the effect of implicit emotion regulation on psychological health is more important than that of explicit cogniti…

  • A modification of the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale using multivariate generalizability theory

Open Access•Lei Xu, Zhan Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•2019

We modified the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) using multivariate generalizability theory (MGT), a measurement system in which the focus is on multiple universe scores within a specific generalization universe. Application of MGT comprises conducting a generalizability study to analyze and estimate the associations among various factors, the number of factors, and the initial measurement design process, as well as a decision study to …

  • Adolescents Exhibit Late Maturation of Long‐Range Beta Coherences in Affective Processing

Open Access•Wenhai Zhang, Fanggui Tang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Research on Adolescence•2019

We investigated whether intra-/interhemispheric long-range beta coherences mirror developmental changes in affective functional integration during adolescence. Electroencephalogram data were gathered from 15 young adolescents, 16 old adolescents, and 16 young adults during viewing affective pictures. The results indicated that both positive and negative pictures induced greater intra- and interhemispheric long-distance beta coherences than neutra…

  • The effect of emotional scene and body expression on facial expression recognition

Lu Bai, Weibin Mao et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2017
