La construction des maisons ne peut être antérieure au milieu du viii e s. av. J.‐C. Dans le courant du v e siècle le paysage urbain change totalement : les édifices privés sont remplacés par deux édifices…
Enhancing signals from buried Roman structures in Magnetometer data by combining continuous wavelet transform and tensor voting
In this paper, a processing chain is proposed for enhancing larger‐scale building structures in magnetometer data using the continuous wavelet transform for extracting the horizontal location, depth, and homogeneity (or shape) of subsurface objects. Even though the values estimated from our data do not clearly describe the archaeological site, they are used as a filter step for removing objects whose depth and homogeneity fall outside a predefine…

The new excavations of the Basilica Damous-el-Karita of Carthage, conducted by the author, are aimed at a reevaluation of the structures, chronology, function, and significance of such an important pilgrimage complex, based on the study of two annex buildings discovered in 1912 by R.P. Delattre, and firstly identified as a monastery, then a porticus-framed court. This study confirmes the identification of the basilica as Basilica Fausti, of the s…
