  • Analysis of an AI-powered system for vaccination screening, monitoring, and management in adults aged 50 and above

Open Access•Lili Tao, Jiao Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Introduction: Currently, there is insufficient research on screening contraindications and post-vaccination monitoring for older adults prior to vaccination. Methods: This study pioneers the integration of artificial intelligence technology, developing a mobile-based medical system (Medduo) that leverages AI for the screening and monitoring of vaccinations in Older adults with chronic diseases. The system was piloted at five vaccination centers. …

  • Association between perchlorate, nitrate, and thiocyanate exposure and kidney stones prevalence in US adults: An analysis based on the national health and nutrition examination survey 2007–2018

Open Access•Zhicheng Tang, Xiujun Wu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

This study investigates the association between exposure to environmental pollutants-perchlorate, nitrate, and thiocyanate (PNT)-and the prevalence of kidney stone disease (KSD) in US adults, utilizing data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2007-2018. With the increasing incidence of KSD, understanding environmental risk factors has become crucial. While PNT compounds are known to be associated with various health…

  • The effectiveness of selected vegetation communities in regulating runoff and soil loss from regraded gully banks in the Mollisol region of Northeast China

Open Access•Yue Yan, Xingyi Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2021

The steep slopes of actively developed gullies are extremely sensitive to erosion in the Mollisol region of Northeast China; however, decision making on the optimal configuration for gully bank protection is under discussion. Here, five vegetation communities were established on regraded gully banks with bare slopes as the control to identify their controlling effects on flow hydraulics and soil erosion through in situ scouring experiments. A hyd…

  • Psychosocial Influences on Disaster Preparedness in San Francisco Recipients of Home Care

    Open Access•Robyn R Gershon, Robyn Gershon et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Urban Health•2016•Cited by: 5•References: 2

  • Mass fatality preparedness among medical examiners/coroners in the United States: A cross-sectional study

Open Access•Robyn Rm Gershon, Mark G Orr et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2014

The three measures of MFI preparedness allowed for a broad and comprehensive assessment of preparedness. In the future, these measures can serve as useful benchmarks or criteria for assessing ME/Cs preparedness. The study findings suggest multiple opportunities for improvement, including the development and implementation of national strategies to ensure uniform standards for MFI management across all jurisdictions
