Associations of daily step count with all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality in hypertensive US adults
Increasing daily step count is associated with reduced all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in hypertensive individuals, with optimal benefits observed below 8,250 and 9,700 daily steps, respectively. Moderate levels of physical activity provide substantial health benefits, highlighting the importance of setting realistic and attainable activity goals for hypertensive populations
A Prediction Model of the Incidence of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease With Visceral Fatty Obesity
Objective: This study aimed to distinguish the risk variables of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and to construct a prediction model of NAFLD in visceral fat obesity in Japanese adults. Methods: = 455), respectively. The LASSO method and multivariate regression analysis were performed for selecting risk factors in the training group. Then, overlapping features were selected to screen the effective and suitable risk variables for NAFLD wi…
Cluster of Acute Appendicitis Among High School Tibetan Students in Nanchang, China
Objective: Infectious etiology of acute appendicitis is a current hot topic. The most of study on appendicitis came from sporadic patients and focused on clinical treatment rather than control and prevention of appendicitis in the population. The present study aims to investigate the epidemiological features of cluster of acute appendicitis, risk factors, and evaluate effectiveness of control and prevention in population. Methods: We conducted lo…
Multiscale Variability of Historical Meteorological Droughts and Floods in the Middle Yangtze River Basin, China
This paper examines the temporal patterns of historical droughts and floods and associated natural-anthropogenic variations in the middle Yangtze River Basin. Analyses are based principally on yearly meteorological data for 14 stations since late 15th century and monthly hydrological data for 14 stations over the past 50 years. Flood and drought cyclical patterns appear for the middle Yangtze River Basin with the aid of spectral analysis. Signifi…

Preview Benefits and Word Segmentations When Reading Chinese
