  • Childhood Trauma and the Emergence of Precognitive Abilities

    Open Access•Kirsten Cameron, Jenny Wade•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2024

This study addresses the scientific tendency to misattribute the higher levels of belief in extrasensory perception (ESP) of adult survivors of childhood trauma to cognitive errors when they may be a result of actual experience with ESP. Dissociative tendencies may contribute to precognition, which would be an adaptive skill for children living in unpredictable and traumatic environments. Open Access•Psychology Istanbul, Nilüfer Devecigil et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2024

Colic, characterized by excessive, inconsolable crying in early infancy, has long puzzled researchers and clinicians. • After Awakening, the Laundry

    Open Access•Jenny Wade•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2018•References: 15

Today technologie…

    Open Access•Jenny Wade•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2016

Largely ignored in transpersonal studies to date, dark magic involves socially-transgressive processes called becoming-intense and becoming-animal that produce non-ordinary states useful in the arts, hunting, sex, and fighting. War magic, a form of dark magic that involves powers of destruction and invulnerability, is ubiquitous and universal, and one of its primary features is the production of helpful, nonordinary states in combat. Berserkergan…

  • Dreaming in Two Worlds and Two Languages

    Open Access•Winifred Lum, Jenny Wade•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2016

This study investigated the significance of first and second languages in the bilingual dreams of immigrant participants. A purposive sample of nine women and six men aged 20 to 71 whose first languages were Spanish, Thai, Italian, Tagalog, and French, and later acquired English, participated in semi-structured, open-ended interviews recalling a dream featuring both languages. Transcripts were thematically analyzed individually and across cases. …
