Magalhaes, Ivan L.F., Ramírez, Martín J. (2019): The Crevice Weaver Spider Genus Kukulcania (Araneae: Filistatidae). Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History 426: 1-153, DOI: 10.1206/00030090-426.1.1, Hdl: http://digitallibrary.amnh.org/handle/2246/6925

  • A cross‐regional study of the reactive and proactive aggression of youth in Spain, Uruguay, mainland China, and Hong Kong

    Open Access•Annis L C Fung, Xiang Li et al.•ARTICLE•Social Development•2018•Cited by: 3•References: 7

This study is the first attempt to measure reactive and proactive aggression in 1,203 youths aged between 11 and 20 from Hong Kong, mainland China, Spain, and Uruguay using the reactive‐proactive aggression questionnaire (RPQ). The two‐factor RPQ construct was found to exhibit an excellent model fit for all subsamples, and the measurement and structural invariance across the four regions was also revealed. After controlling for age, the youth in …

  • Taxonomic Revision of the Jumping Goblin Spiders of the Genus Orchestina Simon, 1882, in the Americas (Araneae

Open Access•Matías Andrés Izquierdo, Martín J Ramiréz•ARTICLE•Bulletin of the American Museum…•2017

The genus Orchestina Simon is distributed worldwide and is characterized by having an enlarged fourth femur with which these species are capable of jumping. The genus is also characterized by having a well-sclerotized sperm duct, a near H-shaped arrangement of the eye group, a 4-4-3-3 pattern of raised receptors on the tarsal organs of the legs I–IV, respectively, and by lacking spines on all the legs. All these characters, together with molecula…

  • Taxonomic Review of the Goblin Spiders of the Genus Dysderoides Fage and Their Himalayan Relatives of the Genera Trilacuna Tong and Li and Himalayana , New Genus (Araneae

Open Access•Cristian J Grismado, Christa Deeleman et al.•ARTICLE•Bulletin of the American Museum…•2014

The study of many museum specimens of goblin spiders from the Himalayan range and neighboring countries allows for the description of new taxa of the family Oonopidae. The genus Dysderoides Fage is taxonomically reviewed. It comprises small, blind, loricate troglobitic spiders: the type species (D. typhlos Fage, from India) and at least five new species from northern India (D. synrang Grismado and Deeleman) and Thailand (D. muang Grismado and Dee…

  • The Morphology And Phylogeny Of Dionychan Spiders (Araneae

    Open Access•Martín J Ramiréz•ARTICLE•Bulletin of the American Museum…•2014

A phylogenetic analysis of the two-clawed spiders grouped in Dionycha is presented, with 166 representative species of 49 araneomorph families, scored for 393 characters documented through standardized imaging protocols. The study includes 44 outgroup representatives of the main clades of Araneomorphae, and a revision of the main morphological character systems. Novel terminology is proposed for stereotyped structures on the chelicerae, and the m…

  • The New World Goblin Spiders of the New Genus Neotrops (Araneae

    Open Access•Cristian J Grismado, Martín J Ramiréz•ARTICLE•Bulletin of the American Museum…•2013

A new genus of soft-bodied oonopids, Neotrops, is established for a large assemblage of goblin spiders found in all tropical and subtropical areas of the Neotropical region, from Panama to Uruguay and central Argentina. Members of Neotrops have spinose forelegs, and share a general palpal morphology with those of Heteroonops Dalmas, but have a prolateral conductor connected with an internal bulbal vesicle that presumably discharges its secretion …

  • Th Annual Cica-STR International Conference on Terrorism and Aggression

Tali K Walters, Martín J Ramiréz et al.•ARTICLE•Behavioral Sciences of Terrorism…•2013

The Society for Terrorism Research and the Coloquios Internacionales sobre Cerebro y Agresión (CICA) held their 6th annual international conference on terrorism and aggression in Burgos, Bulgaria 8 September through 11 September 2012.
