  • University-City learning for sustainable and inclusive urban futures

    Open Access•Beñat Flores-Puga, John Andersen et al.•ARTICLE•IJAR – International Journal of…•2026

Universities face growing pressure to align teaching with urgent social, economic, and environmental challenges in their territories. This article examines how community-based action research (CBAR) pedagogies can foster reciprocal university-city learning through two initiatives at Roskilde University and Mondragon University. Drawing on documents, student work, surveys, interviews and field notes, the comparative analysis shows how CBAR princip…

  • Urban Drama

Open Access•Jan Lilliendahl Larsen, Martin Severin Frandsen•ARTICLE•Urban Planning•2022

Recent research on participation in Danish urban planning has identified three typical formats of engagement: hearings, dialogue meetings, and workshops. Alongside these mainstream approaches, a plethora of less formalized and experimental formats drawing inspiration from collaborative and performative art practices have emerged. However, common to both the mainstream and experimental formats of participation is a difficulty when it comes to deal…

  • Parallelsamfundspakkens genealogi

Martin Severin Frandsen, Jesper Visti Hansen•ARTICLE•Dansk Sociologi•2020

  • Situationens urbanisme

Open Access•Jan Lilliendahl Larsen, Martin Severin Frandsen•ARTICLE•K&K - Kultur og Klasse•2014

This article attempts to unfold a conception of an ‘urbanism of the situation’. We show how the development of this alternative form of urbanism, which counters the reductive dominance of contemporary, disciplinary urbanism, has been underway for some decades through collaborations between avantgarde art groups, urban social movements and critical urban intellectuals. Its focus is the rediscovery of the intimate relations between bodies, society …

    Martin Severin Frandsen•ARTICLE•Dansk Sociologi•2011

Artiklen har to hovedpointer.
