Evaluating urban climate plans for heat preparedness
As climate change continues to intensify temperature extremes across the world, it is critical to understand the impacts of extreme heat events and plan strategies for heat adaptation and mitigation. HPV vaccine behaviors and intentions among a diverse sample of women aged 27-45 years
Our findings suggest that many women in this age group are interested in HPV vaccination. While the recommendation is for SCDM rather than routine vaccination for all women in this age group, efforts to promote informed decision-making among mid-adult women may include educating women about the rigorous vaccine testing and approval process, their risk factors for HPV infection, and encouraging them to engage in SCDM with their medical providers. …

When programs do offer qualitative methods courses, they are often single stand-alone courses without adequate institutional support. To predict over-all grade point average (GPA) the relationships among the students' approaches to learning as measured by the Study Process Questionnaire, Scholastic Aptitude Test, class attendance, and GPA were based on responses from 202 undergraduate students (72 men, 125 women, and 5 undefined) enrolled in an introductory psychology course. Analysis indicated that SAT scores correlated positively with over-all GPA. Scores on Achieving Approac…
