BACKGROUND: Cancer care requires collaboration across specialties, making interprofessional education essential. The INTERACT-EUROPE 100 project promotes interprofessional cancer care by implementing the Inter-Specialty Cancer Training Program (ISCTP) on a larger scale across Europe. This study aimed to co-adapt a comprehensive evaluation framework to assess the impact of the ISCTP, with the broader goal of informing evaluation practices in other…
Perceived harm reduction impact of a drug checking service in Vienna
Our findings suggest that DCS can considerably promote safer use behaviour, as well as risk awareness and management among PWUD. To be effective as a tool for early intervention and addiction prevention, services must remain low threshold to address the diverse needs of PWUD, allowing for varying degrees of engagement, such as keeping psychosocial counselling optional. Acknowledging the critical role of peers in building trust, facilitating acces…

Barriers and facilitators to advance care planning for people with intellectual disabilities
ACP is rarely practiced in the care of people with ID in Austria. However, caregivers identified clear pathways to improve implementation, particularly through training, use of tailored communication methods, and systemic support within care institutions. Promoting inclusive ACP practices is essential to uphold the autonomy and health equity of people with ID, ensuring their voices are heard in decisions about their future and end-of-life care
Homelessness and Cancer Prevention
Introduction: Cancer care delivery is complex given the multifaceted nature of cancer and the involvement of diverse professionals. Accessing cancer care for people experiencing homelessness (PEH) is a greater challenge due to specific barriers for this group. Therefore, primary, and secondary cancer preventive care among this population is crucial. Target audience: The CANCERLESS project presents valuable insights for policymakers, professionals…
Cancer Prevention and Screening for People Experiencing Homelessness
The co-design approach allowed PEH and professionals to actively shape the intervention, addressing gaps in cancer prevention. The HNM offers a structured, internationally consistent model that could bridge access gaps in cancer care for PEH. Further research using implementation science frameworks is needed to evaluate its effectiveness in real-world settings
