Why officials are held strictly accountable
This study explores the conditions and circumstances of officials being held strictly accountable. Using fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fs/QCA), we study accountability of officials in 42 emergency incidents in China. The analysis reveals different but functionally equivalent causal conditions leading to strict accountability of officials. The findings highlight the importance of responsibility type and accident severity for strict a…
The burden of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and incidence rate forecast in China from 1990 to 2021
China faces a rising ADHD burden driven by sociodemographic transitions and diagnostic advancements. Targeted interventions-particularly for adolescents and females-are urgently needed. Strengthening school-based screening, integrating AI-driven diagnostic tools, and prioritizing mental health in national policies could mitigate long-term impacts. These findings underscore the necessity of dynamic surveillance systems to address ADHD's evolving e…

Myopia in elementary school students in Eastern China during the Covid-19 pandemic
Background: Myopia is an increasingly serious public concern, particularly among primary school students. The prevalence of myopia and its influencing factors in primary school pupils in Eastern China during the COVID-19 pandemic had not been explored. Methods: A randomly clustered sampling method was performed, and selected pupils from grade 1 to grade 3 in 15 primary schools in the Fenghua District of Zhejiang Province were included and given m…
Generation paths of major production safety accidents — A fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis based on Chinese data
Major production safety accidents have become the key obstacle to improve the overall safety production level. Analyzing the causal relationship of major production safety accidents is helpful to clarify its characteristics and laws. Based on the literature, the analytical framework of “individual - technology - management - environment” is proposed. Taking 37 production safety accidents as samples, fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQ…
Bibliometric analysis of research themes and trends in childhood autism spectrum disorders from 2012 to 2021
Background: Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are heterogeneous neurodevelopmental conditions that affect people worldwide. Early diagnosis and clinical support help achieve good outcomes. However, medical system structure and restricted resource availability create challenges that increase the risk of poor outcomes. Understanding the research progress of childhood ASD in recent years, based on clinical literature reports, can give relevant researc…
Virtual reality technology enhances the cognitive and social communication of children with autism spectrum disorder
Objective We aimed to explore the impact of using virtual reality technology to intervene in and encourage the developmental behavior areas of cognition, imitation, and social interaction in children with autism spectrum disorder. Methods Forty-four children with autism spectrum disorder were divided randomly into an intervention group and a control group, with each group consisting of 22 participants. Incorporating conventional rehabilitation st…
Systematic Bibliometric Analysis of Research Hotspots and Trends on the Application of Virtual Reality in Nursing
Background: With the emergence of the metaverse, virtual reality, as a digital technology, must be getting hotter. High quality virtual reality related nursing knowledge scene learning is gradually replacing traditional education and intervention skills. Objective: This systematic study aimed to gain insights into the overall application of virtual reality technology in the study of nursing. Methods: Citations downloaded from the Web of Science C…
Using geographically weighted regression to predict the spatial distribution of frozen ground temperature
This paper combines the use of principal component analysis (PCA) and the geographically weighted regression (GWR) model to predict the spatial distribution of frozen ground temperature. PCA is used to reduce the multicollinearity among covariates, while the GWR model is used to address the spatially non-stationary relationship between frozen ground temperature and its predictors, such as air temperature, latitude, longitude, and vegetation cover…
