Organized crime in Serbian politics during the Yugoslav wars

This paper attempts to explain parental son preferences among historical Muslim population in the Sandžak region, southwestern Serbia. The paper draws upon data collected in the course of anthropological fieldwork studies in the region. The fieldwork was performed among Muslim and Christian families in Serbian rural area of Sandžak, measuring maternal fitness in relation to several variables.
