  • Four Dimensions for Understanding China: Region, Ethnicity, Culture and State

Open Access•Jingbo Luo, Xi Tang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Sociology and Ethnology•2026

With the in-depth advancement of globalization, China, as a super-large country with a long history, profound cultural heritage, and distinct national characteristics, often faces the challenge and risk of being interpreted through a one-sided lens. It explores the rich connotations of China from four key dimensions: territo…

  • Prophylactic isoimperatorin protects against LPS-ALI via mTOR-dependent control of inflammation, oxidative stress and ferroptosis markers

Open Access•Jiecheng Zhang, Ziyi Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

ISO protected against LPS-induced ALI under a prophylactic dosing protocol via mTOR-dependent signaling (predominantly mTORC1), thereby restraining inflammation, oxidative stress, and ferroptosis-related markers. These findings support ISO as a mechanistically informed prophylactic lead that warrants evaluation under post-insult therapeutic regimens

  • Qingtong treatment principle alleviates opioid-induced constipation by regulating bile acid homeostasis via an FXR-dependent manner

Open Access•Mengping Li, Yang Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

  • Policy analysis on the promotion of new energy vehicles in China considering consumers’ car purchasing choices in the “post-subsidy era”: Based on the study of a three-party evolutionary game

Methods We conducted an online questionnaire survey using a Chinese Internet research company; 2,102 valid responses were received. The …

  • GeoInfographic design of the multi-spatiality of borders: A case study of epidemic prevention and control in Ruili, China

Open Access•Ziwei Jiang, Xi Tang et al.•ARTICLE•Environment and Planning B Urban…•2023

We live in a world of borders, which influence our perception and movement. Traditional mapping techniques show limitations as borders have become shifting and complex, and borders’ multi-scale and multi-spatial properties have been strengthened significantly. To fill the knowledge gap, we explored the multi-spatiality of borders and provided approaches for border symbol design and visualization by taking the coronavirus-hit border city, Ruili, C…

  • Disruption of emergency response to vulnerable populations during floods

  • Detailed Assessment of the Spatial Distribution of Urban Parks According to Day and Travel Mode Based on Web Mapping API: A Case Study of Main Parks in Wuhan

Open Access•Qiang Niu, Ye Wang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2018

This article employs two indexes-accessibility and effective service ratio (ESR)-to assess the spatial distribution of urban parks with the consideration of both equity and efficiency. Traditional approaches to calculate these two indexes are often based on the shortest distance to the park within its service radius by network analysis. Such approaches cannot reflect the actual travel behaviors of urban residents and require extensive data collec…
