  • Undergraduate academic assessment and dental licensing examination outcomes: A single-institution retrospective cohort study in China

Open Access•Yiqi Wang, Siqi Xia et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Medical Education•2026

  • Sequential Monitoring for Changes in Dynamic Semiparametric Risk Models

Lajos Horváth, Emese Lazar et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Business and Economic…•2026

We propose a sequential monitoring scheme to detect changes in dynamic semiparametric risk models that capture Value-at-Risk (VaR) and Expected Shortfall (ES) jointly. The monitoring scheme is based on a gradient-based detector and a boundary function, and a change is detected when the detector crosses the boundary function. We derive the asymptotic limit of the stopping time of detection under the null hypothesis of no change. Monte Carlo simula…

  • The impact of long-term care insurance on the health status and healthcare expenditure of older adults in China

Open Access•Ran An, Shujie Xiu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2025

Based on the findings, the development of relevant policy frameworks for LTCI in China is recommended. These include consider the differences among the various pilot cities and social strata to allow policy adjustments and improvements in a timely, establish a dynamic and diversified long-term care insurance financing mechanism, encourage collaboration between medical institutions and elder care facilities, establish effective contact between LTC…

  • Zishen Yutai pills restore fertility in premature ovarian failure through regulating arachidonic acid metabolism and the ATK pathway

Open Access•Lei Dang, Yingying Dong et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2024

  • Measuring US regional economic uncertainty

Open Access•Wei-Fong Pan, J James Reade et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Regional Science•2022

This study constructs a set of regional economic uncertainty (EU) indices for the United States based on Internet search volumes. These indices shed light on EU at the regional and local levels along with national EU. Although aggregate state‐level EU is highly synchronized, idiosyncratic state EU nonetheless exhibits large variations. Similar to aggregate state‐level EU, idiosyncratic state EU is generally countercyclical. There is also a spillo…

  • Protective effects and mechanisms investigation of Kuntai capsule on the ovarian function of a novel model with accelerated aging ovaries

Open Access•Jinjin Zhang, Fang Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2017

  • Understanding the Chinese stock market: International comparison and policy implications

Zhenya Liu, Shixuan Wang•ARTICLE•Economic and Political Studies•2017•References: 3

The definitions of the bear, sidewalk and bull markets are ambiguous in the existing literature. This makes it difficult for practitioners to distinguish between different market conditions. In this paper, we propose statistical definitions of the bear, sidewalk and bull markets, which correspond to the three states in our hidden semi-Markov model. We apply this analysis to the daily returns of the Chinese stock market and seven developed markets…
