  • Hydroclimatic Sensitivity and Climate-Stress Testing of Flash Droughts in China under a Contemporary Human-Activity Context

Open Access•Bo Jiang, Qianjin Dong et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropocene•2026

  • Exploring the relationship between burnout and mental health among village doctors

Open Access•Zihao Yang, Huashi Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Objective Village doctors serve as the primary gatekeepers of healthcare in rural China. They often face heavy workloads, which may place them at increased risk of burnout and psychological distress. However, evidence regarding the association between different dimensions of burnout and mental health among this group remains limited. This study aimed to: (1) estimate the prevalence of burnout and probable mental health problems among village doct…

  • Embracing impermanence

Open Access•Shaojing Fu, Shiyou Fu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Psychology•2024

In the postepidemic era, impermanence can effectively mitigate the impact of life events on FCV-19 and the impact of FCV-19 on psychological distress

  • Abnormal Brain Network Interaction Associated With Positive Symptoms in Drug-Naive Patients With First-Episode Schizophrenia

Open Access•Yuan Liu, Liu Yuan et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2022

Positive symptoms are marked features of schizophrenia, and emerging evidence has suggested that abnormalities of the brain network underlying these symptoms may play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of the disease. We constructed two brain functional networks based on the positive and negative correlations between positive symptom scores and brain connectivity in drug-naive patients with first-episode schizophrenia (FES, n = 45) by using a …

  • IL-17 and TNF-β

Open Access•Lijun Ouyang, David Li et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2022

In conclusion, our findings suggest that the immuno-inflammatory activation level is increased in the early stage of psychosis before psychotic conversion and the Drug-naïve FES. IL-1β and TNF-α are the representatives of the specific biomarkers for UHR and FES, respectively. IL-17 and TNF-β may be the potential selective predictive biomarkers for future transition in UHR individuals

  • Short-chain fatty acids in patients with schizophrenia and ultra-high risk population

Open Access•Huiqing Peng, Lijun Ouyang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2022

Our study suggests that alterations in concentrations of SCFAs may be associated with the pathogenesis and the cognitive impairment of schizophrenia. Further researches are warranted to explore this association. The clinical implications of our findings were discussed

  • Twitter Presence and Experience Improve Corporate Social Responsibility Outcomes

Open Access•Siva K Balasubramanian, Yiwei Fang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Business Ethics•2021

  • Frequency-Specific Changes in the Fractional Amplitude of the Low-Frequency Fluctuations in the Default Mode Network in Medication-Free Patients With Bipolar II Depression

Open Access•Jun Zhou, Xiaoqian Ma et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2021

Objective: This study aimed to examine the treatment-related changes of the fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFF) in the default mode network (DMN) across different bands after the medication-free patients with bipolar II depression received a 16-week treatment of escitalopram and lithium. Methods: A total of 23 medication-free patients with bipolar II depression and 29 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited. We evaluated the …

  • Genetic investigation and phylogenetic analysis of three Chinese ethnic groups using 16 X chromosome STR loci

Open Access•Ruiyang Tao, Jingyi Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2020

Background: The value of using X-chromosomal short tandem repeats (X-STRs) as genetic markers in human genetics has been widely recognised. However, the 16 X-STRs in the Goldeneye ® DNA ID System 17X kit have not been thoroughly applied. Aim: To investigate the genetic polymorphisms of 16 X-STRs in three main ethnic minorities (Tibetan, Mongolian and Kazakh) in China and to reveal the phylogenetic relationships of different populations. Subjects …

  • Genetic characterization of four dog breeds with Illumina CanineHD BeadChip

Open Access•Zihao Yang, Jingyi Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Forensic Sciences Research•2019

Dear Editor, Due to human's cohabitation with domesticated animals, molecular analysis of animal DNA is increasingly being admitted as evidence in forensic investigations. In 2011, recommendations

  • Validation of the Investigator 24plex QS Kit

Open Access•Ruiyang Tao, Chong Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Forensic Sciences Research•2019•Cited by: 4

The Investigator 24plex QS Kit (QIAGEN, Hilden, Germany) is a 6-dye fluorescent chemistry short tandem repeat (STR) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification system that simultaneously amplifies 20 of the expanded Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) core STR loci, SE33, DYS391, and the standard sex-determining locus, amelogenin, as well as two special internal performance quality sensor controls (QS1 and QS2), which are included in the primer m…
