The ‘Archeology’ of Violence in Popular Culture
The article explores various examples of the presence of the post-romantic tradition in songs recorded by Polish neo-nationalists and distributed through YouTube. The analysis of these songs serves to reconstruct some ‘sensibility’ of the post-romantic tradition that have been appropriated and thus ‘stolen’ by neo-nationalists, serving as the content of messages based on violent and populist discourse.
