Associations between perceived physical literacy and physical fitness tests among the adult population
This study provides new insights into the relationship between overall/domain-specific perceived PL and physical fitness tests in the adult population, particularly regarding less commonly explored fitness parameters such as upper extremity flexibility, reaction time, and balance. Given the exploratory nature of the study, future research with larger, more diverse, and probability-based samples is needed to strengthen both the internal and extern…
Primary Care and Physical Literacy
The multidimensional concept of physical literacy is fundamental for lifelong physical activity engagement. However, physical literacy-based interventions are in their infancy, especially among adults. Therefore, the purpose of this pilot study was to assess the association of a physical literacy-based intervention with changes in self-reported physical literacy among inactive adults. A non-randomized controlled study (2 × 2 design) was conducted…
Do we have to reduce the recall period? Validity of a daily physical activity questionnaire (PAQ24) in young active adults
In contrast to weekly Total PA, the majority of daily results of the PAQ24 showed satisfying construct validity. A short recall period may improve the measurement quality of PA questionnaires, but measurement errors and the costs of multiple administrations must be considered in future studies
Holistic physical exercise training improves physical literacy among physically inactive adults

Snow gliding susceptibility
Snow gliding, though a slow process, should be considered as important as the faster snow avalanche flows, as it can similarly produce severe damage to buildings and infrastructure. Snow gliding depends on snowpack properties, land cover and terrain parameters. Among these driving factors, in this work, we focus on stationary factors, that is, those that are considered features related to terrain and land cover, in particular those that could be …
Health and Health Care Among Male-to-Female Transgender Persons Who Are HIV Positive
Recent studies have reported high rates of HIV infection among male-to-female transgender persons, but little research has examined how male-to-female transgender persons manage living with HIV. We compared demographic and health characteristics of 59 male-to-female transgender persons who were HIV positive with 300 nontransgender control subjects who were HIV positive. We found several demographic differences between the groups but no significan…
