Screening the Fragments
This article examines Pier Paolo Pasolini's 1972 documentary 12 December, a collaborative work with Giovanni Bonfanti and the Lotta Continua collective, as a cinematic investigation of the “strategy of tension” and the Piazza Fontana massacre. Methods: Questionnaires were administered at two psychiatrist meet…
Neural Correlates of Emotion Regulation in the Ventral Prefrontal Cortex and the Encoding of Subjective Value and Economic Utility
In many studies of the interaction between cognitive control and emotion, the orbitofrontal cortex/ventromedial prefrontal cortex (mOFC/vmPFC) has been associated with an inhibitory function on limbic areas activated by emotionally arousing stimuli, such as the amygdala. This has led to the hypothesis of an inhibitory or regulatory role of mOFC/vmPFC. In studies of cognition and executive function, however, this area is deactivated by focused eff…

The psychiatric tradition of Heidelberg goes back to Kraepelin. Its psychopathological orientation was established by Jaspers and developed by K. Schneider. The relationship between these two men is explored through an analysis of their correspondence, which lasted for more than fifty years
