Quantification of three-dimensional green visual accessibility using multi-source geospatial datasets
Young consumers’ cool gaze on luxury hotels
Employing social identity theory, tourist gaze theory, and experiential marketing, this research explores the concept of coolness in luxury hotels as gazed by Chinese Generation Z consumers. Utilizes PLS-SME and fsQCA analysis, this study constructs and validates the structural multifaceted measurement of the coolness in luxury hotels, supporting a six-factor model comprising usefulness, energy, rebellion, subculture, holism, and hospitality and …

Association of exposure to PM2.5-bound metals with premature rupture of membranes
Background Exposure to PM 2.5 has been linked to premature rupture of membranes (PROM). However, research on the effects of PM 2.5 -bound metals on the PROM is limited. Methods Here, we investigated this relationship using data from 6090 pregnant women, estimating exposure to 11 PM 2.5 -bound metals throughout pregnancy. Cox models assessed associations between individual metals and PROM, while grouped weighted quantile sum regression (GWQS), qua…
Meteorological factors and normalized difference vegetation index drivers of scrub typhus incidence in Shandong Province based on a 16-year time-frequency analysis
Meteorological factors and NDVI play important roles in the occurrence of scrub typhus in Shandong Province. Moreover, temperature and precipitation can affect the role of NDVI. This study provides valuable recommendations and resources for the timely detection, mitigation, and management of scrub typhus in Shandong Province
Exploring spatiotemporal dynamics, seasonality, and time-of-day trends of PM2.5 pollution with a low-cost sensor network
Fine particulate matter (PM 2.5 ) is a major health and environmental concern, with significant spatiotemporal dynamics in urban areas. Low-cost air quality sensor (LCS) networks offer a paradigm-changing opportunity to acquire high spatiotemporal resolution data, revealing the urban pollution landscape with sufficient detail for effective policymaking and health assessment. This study advances geospatial air quality research by using classic and…
Solving the Team Allocation Problem in Crowdsourcing via Group Multirole Assignment
In mass crowdsourcing, a platform is used for task allocation. Large complex tasks may be assigned to teams directly. To ensure the rapid accomplishment of tasks, we need to assign a task to multiple teams, while a team is composed of at least one worker. On the other hand, in order to ensure the enthusiasm and income of workers, the platform allows one worker to participate in a limited number of teams. Thereby, a team may undertake multiple but…
Regional Disparity and Patients Mobility
There is a significant gap in the geographical distribution of medical resources, and the health economic spatial network structure needs to be improved. Most medical resources are concentrated in economically developed provinces, and these provinces' positions in the health economic spatial network are becoming more centralized. By contrast, economically underdeveloped regions are at the edge of the network, causing patients to move to provinces…
Monitoring, Mapping, and Modeling Spatial–Temporal Patterns of PM2.5 for Improved Understanding of Air Pollution Dynamics Using Portable Sensing Technologies
Fine particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of less than 2.5 μm (PM 2.5 ) is highly variable in space and time. In this study, the dynamics of PM 2.5 concentrations were mapped at high spatio-temporal resolutions using bicycle-based, mobile measures on a university campus. Significant diurnal and daily variations were revealed over the two-week survey, with the PM 2.5 concentration peaking during the evening rush hours. A range of predic…
Assessment of personal exposure to particulate air pollution
The heterogeneity in personal exposure found in this the first CHO campaign highlighted the importance of studying the pollution exposure at the individual scale. It is at the critical stage to bridge the knowledge gap of environmental inequality in different populations, which can lead to great health implications

Iranian-American’s Perceptions of Prejudice and Discrimination
Recent political events have created a political and social climate in the United States that promotes prejudice against Middle Eastern, Iranian, and Muslim peoples. In this study, we were interested in investigating two major questions: (1) How much ethnic harassment do Iranian-American men and women from various religious backgrounds (Muslim, Jewish, or no religious affiliation at all) perceive in their day-to-day interactions? (2) To what exte…
Finer resolution observation and monitoring of global land cover
We have produced the first 30 m resolution global land-cover maps using Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) and Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) data. We have classified over 6600 scenes of Landsat TM data after 2006, and over 2300 scenes of Landsat TM and ETM+ data before 2006, all selected from the green season. These images cover most of the world's land surface except Antarctica and Greenland. Most of these images came from the United States Geo…
