    A detailed count of all the third person object pronouns (9082) in the Don Quijote1 gives proof to the reports of Cotarelo y Mori2 and Cuervo3 that Cervantes was very much a leista.4 He used le (4900 total) for most of the occurrences of masculine personal (3783), both direct (1511) and indirect (2272).
