German nationwide inpatient data on the post-Covid-19 syndrome
Background: Post-COVID syndrome (PCS) continues to pose a serious public health issue, with persistent symptoms requiring ongoing medical care after the acute phase of infection. Despite its clinical significance, data on its burden on hospital systems and healthcare costs have been limited. Spirituality and mental health – investigating the association between spiritual attitudes and psychosomatic treatment outcomes

This may also have relevant implications for the improvement of physical ability and quality of life in post-COVID-19 patients and increase the probability of return to work. Trial registration Z-202…
Spending Time in the Forest or the Field
Research suggests that stays in a forest promote relaxation and reduce stress compared to spending time in a city. The aim of this study was to compare stays in a forest with another natural environment, a cultivated field. Healthy, highly sensitive persons (HSP, SV12 score > 18) aged between 18 and 70 years spent one hour in the forest and in the field at intervals of one week. The primary outcome was measured using the Change in Subjective Self…

Spirituality

Mindfulness, for example, a concept derived from the Buddhist tradition, has captivated the imagination of clinicians who package it in convenient intervention programs for patients. Spirituality and religion have been researched with reference to potential health benefits. Spirituality can be conceptualised as the alignment of the individual with the whole, experientially, motivationally and in action.…
