    An hereditary bleeding illness is Von Willebrand Disease (vWD). Along with normal or declining factor VIII levels, von Willebrand factor (vWF) levels also fall. Clinical signs include bleeding that looks "platelet-like" and bleeds resemble factor VIII insufficiency.
