The integration of oral health‐related best practice recommendations in the management of patients with diabetes
PCPs tend not to inform their patients with diabetes of the bidirectional link with PD, or provide advice or referral to attend dental care as part of diabetes management
The detection of oral cancer and potentially malignant disorders in Ireland
Dentists in Ireland detected significant proportions of malignant and potentially malignant oral lesions as opportunistic findings, although opportunistic findings were less likely to occur among male patients
Total tooth loss and complete denture use in older adults with intellectual disabilities in I reland
Older people with ID are more likely to be edentulous than those without ID in Ireland and when they lose their teeth, they are unlikely to use dentures. This suggests a need for targeted measures to maintain the teeth of this group and, in the short term, the provision of replacement teeth in this population, where indicated
Overview and Quality Assurance for the Oral Health Component of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), 2003‐04
Overall, the data reliability analyses conducted for 2009-2010 indicate an acceptable level of data quality and that examiner (dental hygienist) performance in this data collection cycle is similar to prior survey periods since the NHANES continuous survey began in 1999
