  • Sleep duration and quality trajectories during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic: A Canadian nationally representative study

    Open Access•Anthony Levasseur, Mathieu Pelletier-Dumas et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

In our study, we found no convincing evidence that sleep health indicators deteriorated during the first wave of COVID-19 in Canada. The overall stability of sleep suggests that sleep is likely governed by factors that remained stable

  • Multivariate analysis of the impact of sleep and working hours on medical errors: A Mice approach

Open Access•Malena Lis Mul Fedele, María del Pilar López Gabeiras et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

Medical residents have a high working hour load that affect their sleep opportunities, circadian rhythms and psycho-affective health, which are also related to the report of medical errors. These results highlight the importance of implementing multidimensional strategies to improve medical trainees' sleep and wellbeing, increasing in turn their own and patients' safety

  • How is the Covid-19 pandemic impacting our life, mental health, and well-being? Design and preliminary findings of the pan-Canadian longitudinal Cohesion study

Open Access•Stephan Gabet, Benoît Thierry et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

The COHESION Study will allow identifying trajectories of mental health and well-being while investigating their determinants and how these may vary by subgroup, over time, and across different provinces in Canada, in varying context including the pandemic recovery period. Our findings will contribute valuable insights to the urban health field and inform future public health interventions

  • Self-Reported Sleep Need, Subjective Resilience, and Cognitive Performance Following Sleep Loss and Recovery Sleep

    Open Access•Janna Mantua, Allison J Brager et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•2020

Following sleep loss (and recovery sleep), trait resilient individuals may outperform those with lower resiliency on real-world tasks that require continuous attention. Future studies should determine whether the present findings generalize to other, operationally relevant tasks and additional cognitive domains
