Effects of Early Handling and Post-Weaning Living Conditions on Social Reinforcement in the Rat
Maze Learning by Secondary Reinforcement without Discrimination Training
An experiment was conducted to determine whether discrimination training is necessary to establish a neutral stimulus as a secondary reinforcer. Twenty rats were discrimination trained with 65 reward trials and 25 nonreward trials (black end-box positive, white end-box negative, and vice versa); 20 rats were single-stimulus trained to either a black or white end-box for 65 reward trials. Individual Differences in Response to Verbal Reinforcement: A Preliminary Report
The present research project is concerned with the identification of factors responsible for individual variation in response to verbal reinforcemenr in human Ss. In this exploratory study Ss were 33 male patients at the N. J. State Diagnostic Center; they ranged in age from 13 to 17 yr. None was seriously disturbed and were of normal intelligence.
