Length of Stay of Patients in Sheltered Care and Physical Space: A Comparative Study
This paper focuses on the importance of architectural design and space as part of the treatment consideration involving psychiatric patients in the community. Data from 15 community facilities of three sizes and involving 156 patients suggest that size of the facility is positively related to the length of time patients stay in these facilities
