Community Health Participatory interventions in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases including mental health in crisis-affected Low-and Middle-Income Countries – a scoping review
The rising burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) requires a comprehensive strategy by integrating community-based interventions - especially in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). Over the past decade, researchers have emphasized communities as key agents of change in health systems. While Community Health Participatory (CHP) interventions show promise in NCD management, their application in crisis-affected contexts remains underexplor…
An Experimental Investigation Into the Impact of Environmental Factors on Solar Panel Efficiency
Electricity generation predominantly relies on nonrenewable energy sources, primarily fossil fuels. The anticipated depletion of these resources has catalyzed a shift toward renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, biomass, and hydroelectric power, which are abundant and environmentally sustainable. This research investigates the impact of environmental factors, specifically dust, on the efficiency of photovoltaic panels. Two identical solar…
Perinatal mortality rate and associated risk factors in mogadishu, somalia
Perinatal mortality is a critical barometer of maternal and newborn health. In fragile states like Somalia, which grapple with prolonged conflict and systemic healthcare challenges, this indicator is particularly stark. Despite global progress, contemporary, localized data from this region remain scarce, hindering targeted public health initiatives. This study aimed to quantify the perinatal mortality rate (PMR) and identify key determinants with…
Prevalence and associated factors of parental refusal rates for routine immunisation
The high immunization refusal rate in Peshawar among parents was associated with maternal employment, logistical challenges such as distance immunisation services, associated cost, vaccine hesitancy and safety of vaccines. It is recommended to deploy mobile immunisation units and outreach sessions to improve access, using targeted, evidence-based education to address vaccine safety concerns
Quality of Life in Pediatric Cutaneous Leishmaniasis
Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is a neglected tropical disease with significant dermatological and psychosocial consequences, particularly in children. Despite its high prevalence in endemic regions like North Waziristan, Pakistan, limited research has examined the impact of lesion characteristics on pediatric quality of life (QoL). To determine the impact of lesion characteristics on dermatological QoL in children with CL in North Waziristan, Paki…

Exploring the reasons for defaulting from childhood immunization
According to the study's findings, caregivers have their own perceptions regarding the non-completion of their children's vaccination schedule. The childhood immunization defaulting arises from various factors including child illness, Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFIs) concerns, misconceptions, improper injection techniques, and negative vaccinator attitudes. The vaccination completion rate may be increased if the concerns of the careg…
Perceptions of Covid–19-related Risks and Deaths Among Health Care Professionals During Covid-19 Pandemic in Pakistan
COVID-19 is an established challenge to the health care professionals (HCPs) having physical, emotional, and psychological repercussions. We determine the perceptions of Pakistani HCPs regarding the risks and deaths related to COVID-19. A cross-sectional study was conducted among HCPs throughout Pakistan from 16th February 2021 to 6th March 2021 by disseminating an online Google questionnaire via all possible social media platforms including What…
