    During the post World War II years and through the 1960s, the Mexican economy underwent strong and sustained growth that was accompanied by internal and external stability. This expansion was fueled by major increases in agricultural production, by industrializa? tion caused by import substitution, and by an active government policy of investment in infrastructure.   • Factors impeding credit use in small‐farm households in Bolivia

    Sample survey data show few Bolivian small‐farm households using credit, but most would like to borrow from formal market institutions. A theoretical framework is developed to formulate testable hypotheses to identify factors that inhibit credit use. Moreover, migration flows from each state to every other state are separately examined for each year. A number of significant changes over time are evident in the responsiveness of Mexican internal migrants to various socioeconomic stimuli, and appreciable differences are also evident across space.
