  • Shenqi Yanshen Decoction protects against renal and bone injury in chronic kidney disease–mineral and bone disorder with potential involvement of Wnt5a/RhoA/Pkn3 signaling

Open Access•Xiaoqiong Zhang, Ting Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

  • Social media use, thriving at work, and employee well-being

Open Access•Man Zhu, Sitan Li et al.•ARTICLE•Current Psychology•2024

  • Late monsoon threatens coral refugia in the Andaman Sea

Open Access•Yanliang Liu, Lalita Putchim et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2022

Internal waves (IWs) mitigate thermal stress and provide refugia for corals against increasingly frequent mass bleaching. However, climate events may bring uncertainty regarding the resistance of such refugia. Here, using in situ observation data in the Andaman Sea (AS), we conduct a case study in which a monsoon anomaly associated with an El Niño event threatens IW coral refugia. IW cooling in the AS coral reefs is modulated by the thermocline d…

  • Satisfaction and the coach–athlete relationship

Open Access•Juan Li, Gao Hong-yan et al.•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•2021

We examined the link between player satisfaction and the coach–athlete relationship within the organizational environment of a youth football team, and the mediating effect of players' trust in the coach. Participants were 223 young footballers aged between 13 and 19 years, who completed an anonymous self-report survey to assess satisfaction, the coach–athlete relationship, and trust. The results show that players' satisfaction had a significant …

  • Updated population genetic data of 15 autosomal STR loci in a Shandong Han population from East China and genetic relationships among 26 Chinese populations

Open Access•Li Luo, Hongyan Gao et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2020

Our study updates the Shandong Han population database with a large sample size. These 15 STR loci in the Shandong Han population are more polymorphic and discriminatory than shown in previous data, which could be more applicable to personal identification and paternity testing, as well other population genetics studies

  • Forensic characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of 23 Y-STR loci in the Miao population from Guizhou province, southwest China

Open Access•Pengyu Chen, Guanglin He et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2019

Background: Investigation of haplotype/allele frequency data of Y-STR loci in ethnically diverse populations is essential for forensic reference database construction and genetic application. However, the population genetic characteristics of the Chinese Miao minority from Guizhou Province remain uncharacterised.Aim: To assess forensic characteristics for 23 Y-Chromosomal STR loci in Guizhou Miao and explore population genetic relationships with …
