A clinical protocol for group-based ketamine-assisted therapy in a community of practice
RTT-KaT offers a structured, scalable, evidence-informed, and culturally responsive model that bridges clinical safety with both Western and Indigenous knowledge systems. A longitudinal follow-up study is currently underway to evaluate long-term impact and guide future implementations
MDMA-assisted therapy is associated with a reduction in chronic pain among people with post-traumatic stress disorder

While these data are preliminary, when considered alongside the frequency of comorbid chronic pain and PTSD and promising efficacy of MDMA-AT for treating PTSD, these findings encourage further research exploring the role of MDMA-AT for chroni…

Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy After Covid-19

An estimated 1 billion people worldwide suffer from a mental health disorder, with the two most common disorders—depression and anxiety—costing the global economy US…

Prevalence and correlates of nonmedical prescription opioid use among a cohort of sex workers in Vancouver, Canada
A Systematic Review of the Correlates of Violence Against Sex Workers

We identified 1536 (update = 340) unique articles. We included 28 studies, with 14 more contributing to violence prevalence estimates. Lifetime prevalence of any or combined workplace violence ranged from 45% to 75% and over the past year, 32% to 55%. Growing research links …

More than 50% of many Nishnawbe Aski Nation communities in northern Ontario report NMPOU, resulting in extensive health and social problems. Opioid substitution therapy (OST) is the most effective treatment for opioid dependence yet is unavailable in remote First Nations communities. Suboxone (bu…
Confronting structural violence in sex work
Evidence from community-led HIV prevention projects suggests that structural interventions may result in reduced rates of HIV and STIs. The complex relationship between empowerment and confronting stigma, discrimination and physical abuse necessitates further investigation into the impact that such interventions have on the personal risks for sex workers. This article aims to describe lived experiences of members from a sex worker's collective in…
