The water extracts from the oil cakes of Prinsepia utilis repair the epidermal barrier via up-regulating Corneocyte Envelope-proteins, lipid synthases, and tight junction proteins
WEPUOC, obtained from the oil cakes of P. utilis, is rich in polysaccharides and exhibits pronounced efficacy in repairing disrupted epidermal barriers through increased expression of critical proteins involved in barrier integrity. Our findings underscore the potential of P. utilis wastes in developing natural cosmetic prototypes for the treatment of diseases characterized by damaged skin barriers, including atopic dermatitis and psoriasis
Global Value Chain Participation and Green Innovation
Green innovation is one of the most important approaches to prevent environmental pollution and foster sustainable development. Embedded in the global production networks, manufacturing firms have been found not only to be the main drivers of innovation but also the main polluters in developing countries. However, relatively few studies have systematically considered the effect of global value chain (GVC) participation on green innovation in the …

User authentication is the first and most critical step in protecting a man-machine system from a malicious spoofer. However, security and privacy are just like the two sides of one coin, hard to see both at the same time, especially by the current mainstream credential- and biometric-based approaches. To this end, we propose WiONE, a safe and privacy-preserving user authentication system leveraging the ubiquitous Wi-Fi infrastructure by explorin…
Occupational stress and psychological health impact on hypertension of miners in noisy environment in Wulumuqi, China
For miners working in the noisy environment, psychological status was a direct risk factor to hypertension, while occupational stress was an indirect factor
Historical Evolution of Traditional Medicine in Japan
