  • Exploration of Contributory Factors to an Unpleasant Bracing Experience of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis Patients a Quantitative and Qualitative Research

Open Access•Huan Wang, Xianglong Meng et al.•ARTICLE•Children•2022

Future work should focus on reducing the psychological burden and the inconvenience of wearing a brace, rather than on reducing physical discomfort resulting from the corrective force

  • Effects of Jowiseungki-tang on high fat diet-induced obesity in mice and functional analysis on network pharmacology and metabolomics analysis

Open Access•Xianglong Meng, Jingning Yan et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2022

JST is a valuable prescription for treatment of patients with DM in traditional clinics through inhibition of obesity, inflammatory condition and metabolism

  • Daphnes Cortex and its licorice-processed products suppress inflammation via the TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 signaling pathway and regulation of the metabolic profile in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

Open Access•Xianglong Meng, Xiaoyan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2022

Licorice-processed DGN products displayed better anti-inflammatory effects via the TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 signaling pathway on CIA rats and LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells, and regulation of the metabolic profile in treating RA

  • Effects of a rhizome aqueous extract of Dioscorea batatas and its bioactive compound, allantoin in high fat diet and streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice and the regulation of liver, pancreas and skel…

Open Access•Junnan Ma, Xianglong Meng et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2020

Our results indicated that Yam aqueous extract and allantoin improve diabetic symptoms through the regulation of oxidation and glucose imbalance in liver, pancreas, and skeletal muscle tissues in mice. These findings suggest that Yam aqueous extract and allantoin can be used as antidiabetic factors in supplementary foods and medications for T2DM patients
