  • Availability and convenience of sarcopenia screening and diagnostic tools in Chinese primary care

Open Access•Jinyi Zhang, Shumin Ren et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Background Although several guidelines recommend tools for sarcopenia screening and diagnosis, their feasibility in Chinese primary health care (PHC) remains unclear. This study evaluated the availability and convenience of sarcopenia-related tools from the perspective of routine PHC practice. Methods This two-stage expert-based evaluation was conducted between March 2023 and June 2024. In phase 1, a multidisciplinary core panel ( n = 6) used a m…

  • From TCM “Shen-nourishing” and “Yang-strengthening” theory to blood-testis barrier reorganization, GuiLuBuShen attenuates age-related male reproductive dysfunction

    Open Access•Dan Jia, D Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

  • Gooderoside A from Anoectochilus elatus attenuates acute and chronic pains by inhibiting NO/cGMP and Irak4/Irak1/TAK1 signaling pathways

Open Access•Yi Shi, Yanbin Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2024

  • Combination treatment of Danggui Buxue Decoction and endothelial progenitor cells can enhance angiogenesis in rats with focal cerebral ischemia and hyperlipidemia

Open Access•Yonghui Dou, Yue Shu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2023

Our findings provided that DBD administration combined with EPCs transplantation promoted reconstruction of nervous function. This was achieved by enhancing expression of the growth factors related to anti-apoptosis mechanisms and angiogenesis thanks to regulation of the PI3K/Akt/BAD and ERK signaling pathways, and might be relate to the lowering of TC and LDL-C levels

  • Natural products for the treatment of stress-induced depression

Open Access•Wei Dai, Kunmiao Feng et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2022

  • A natural compound (LCA) isolated from Litsea cubeba inhibits RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation by suppressing Akt and Mapk pathways in mouse bone marrow macrophages

Open Access•Luyao Yu, Dan Jia et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2020

  • Reconstruction of cropland cover using historical literature and settlement relics in farming areas of Shangjing Dao during the Liao Dynasty, China, around 1100 AD

    Open Access•Zhilei Wu, Xiuqi Fang et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2020•Cited by: 2•References: 4

To improve the accuracy of historical cropland data, we reconstructed cropland cover in the northern China’s farming–pastoral zone during the Liao dynasty using historical literature and settlement relics. We first reconstructed the total cropland area using historical household data based on the cropland area per household. Next, we allocated the cropland area into 5′ grid cells weighted by settlement density to generate a cropland data. Our mai…

  • Complexity of factors influencing the spatiotemporal distribution of archaeological settlements in northeast China over the past millennium

Open Access•Jia Dan, Dan Jia et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary Research•2018

Relic archeological settlement is used to indicate the development of agriculture. We extracted 8865 relic archeological settlements from the Atlas of Chinese Cultural Relics to analyze how the spatiotemporal distribution of archaeological settlements was influenced by temperature changes and social factors during the last millennium. During the Liao dynasty (AD 916–1125) and Jin dynasty (AD 1115–1234) in the Medieval Warm Period (MWP), a large n…
