Establishing robust chronologies in mangrove sediments in Southeast China with synergistic application of 210Pb and dual 137Cs markers
Large-scale school scoliosis screening in a multi-ethnic, high-altitude region of southwestern China
Objectives To establish the first large-scale epidemiological profile of scoliosis among children and adolescents in Yunnan, China, and identify key demographic, anthropometric, and geographic determinants in this multi-ethnic, high-altitude region. Study design A population-based cross-sectional screening survey using multistage stratified cluster sampling. Methods A population-based cross-sectional survey of 69,811 students aged 6–18 was conduc…
The effectiveness of Tai Chi in improving depressive mood among young individuals aged 15–24 years
Higher nitrification and lower consumption drive higher N 2 O effluxes in estuarine than non-estuarine mangrove wetlands
Mangrove ecosystems are highly productive, sequestering large amounts of carbon from the atmosphere while emitting relatively low levels of greenhouse gases. Large amounts of organic matter and nitrogen from river discharge may stimulate production and emission of greenhouse gases including N 2 O, thus reducing the blue carbon storage capacity of mangrove wetlands. However, it is unclear how the input of organic matter and nitrogen affect the emi…
An analysis of the burden of respiratory tract cancers in global, China, the United States and India
The disease burden of respiratory tract cancers is a global health issue that needs attention, and situations vary from country to country, requiring personalized measures. Global strategies must address aging populations and socioeconomic disparities to reduce inequities in high-burden regions
MiR-122-3p targets UBE2I to regulate the immunosuppression of liver cancer and the intervention of Liujunzi formula
Occurrence, Distribution and Risk Assessment of Mercury in Multimedia of Soil-Dust-Plants in Shanghai, China
The urban environment is a complex ecosystem influenced by strong human disturbances in multi-environmental media, so it is necessary to analyze urban environmental pollutants through the comprehensive analysis of different media. Soil, road dust, foliar dust, and camphor leaves from 32 sample sites in Shanghai were collected for the analysis of mercury contamination in soil-road dust-leaves-foliar dust systems. Mercury concentrations in surface …
Development of a Monoclonal Antibody-Based Sandwich Elisa for Peanut Allergen Ara h 1 in Food
We have established a highly sensitive sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) based on two monoclonal antibodies (mAb) to measure the content of the major peanut allergen Ara h 1 in foods. Two mAbs were selected out of 12 murine hybridoma cells secreting Ara h 1-specific antibody. Using mAb 6 as the capture antibody and HRP-labelled mAb 4 as the detection antibody, the limit of detection (LOD) the assay was 0.34 ng/mL. Cross-reaction …
