  • Fufang zhenzhu tiaozhi capsule alleviates hypothalamic endoplasmic reticulum stress and leptin resistance through autophagy modulation in DIO rats

Open Access•Tingyu Hua, Qiulian Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

  • Association between complete blood count-derived inflammatory markers and the risk of frailty and mortality in middle-aged and older adults

Open Access•Yu Tang, Ying Zhai et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the association between six complete blood count (CBC)-derived inflammatory markers [neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), systemic immune-inflammatory index (SII), systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI), and pan-immune inflammation value (PIV)] and the risk of frailty and mortality. Methods: Data were obtained from the National He…

  • U-shaped relationship between non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and cognitive impairment in Chinese middle-aged and elderly

Open Access•Lei Li, Lingdan Zhuang et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

There exists a U-shaped relationship between non-HDL-C and the risk of cognitive impairment in Chinese middle-aged and elderly individuals, with statistical significance on both sides of the turning points. This suggests that both lower and higher levels of serum non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol increase the risk of cognitive impairment in middle-aged and elderly individuals
