  • Diverse associations between adiposity and blood pressure among 80,000 multi-ethnic Chinese adults

Open Access•Jiayi Chen, Haojiang Zuo et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

Our results indicated that when selecting proper predictors for BP, population-specific adiposity measures are needed, considering ethnicity, sex and residing regions. A better understanding of adiposity and BP may better contribute to the potential clinical practices and developing precision application strategies

  • Association of Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension diet and Mediterranean diet with blood pressure in less-developed ethnic minority regions

Open Access•Suyao Dai, Xiong Xiao et al.•ARTICLE•Public Health Nutrition•2022

Objective: We aimed to investigate the associations of Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH)-style diet and Mediterranean-style diet with blood pressure (BP) in less-developed ethnic minority regions (LEMR). Design: Cross-sectional study. Setting: Dietary intakes were assessed by a validated FFQ. Dietary quality was assessed by the DASH-style diet score and the alternative Mediterranean-style diet (aMED) score. The association between di…

  • Zanthoxylum bungeanum seed oil inhibits RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis by suppressing ERK/c-JUN/NFATc1 pathway and regulating cell cycle arrest in RAW264.7 cells

Open Access•Fangting He, Shuhan Luo et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2022

ZBSO exhibited an inhibitory effect on osteoclastogenesis via suppressing the ERK/c-JUN/NFATc1 pathway and regulating cell cycle arrest induced by RANKL, suggesting that ZBSO may serve as a promising agent for anti-bone loss
