  • Map of biomedical research in Cameroon; a documentary review of approved protocols from 1997 to 2012

Open Access•Ebile Akoh Walter, Jérôme Ateudjieu et al.•ARTICLE•Globalization and Health•2017

BACKGROUND: Over the last decade, there has been a rapid increase in biomedical research in Cameroon. However, the question of whether these research projects target major health priorities, vulnerable populations and geographic locations at risk remains to be answered. The aim of this paper is to describe the state of biomedical research in Cameroon which is a key determinant that would guide future health care policies and promote equitable acc…

Open Access•Gloria Brusotti, Adele Papetti et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2016

  • The expanded program on immunization service delivery in the Dschang health district, west region of Cameroon

Open Access•Walter Ebile Akoh, Jérôme Ateudjieu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2016

The frequency and strategic provision of immunization services in the Dschang Health district is inadequate. Resource availability for an adequate provision of immunization services is insufficient. The knowledge of health personnel on vaccine management, cold chain management and on diseases under surveillance by the EPI is limited

  • Hypertensive effects of oral administration of the aqueous extract of Solanum torvum fruits in l-Name treated rats

Open Access•T B Nguelefack, Hassane Mekhfi et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2009

  • Anti-ulcerogenic properties of the aqueous and methanol extracts from the leaves of Solanum torvum Swartz (Solanaceae) in rats

Open Access•Télesphore Benoit Nguelefack, Catherine B Feumebo et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2008

  • Effects of the aqueous and hexane extracts of Mondia whitei on the sexual behaviour and some fertility parameters of sexually inexperienced male rats

Open Access•Pierre Watcho, Fabien Zelefack et al.•ARTICLE•African Journal of Traditional…•2007

The effects of Mondia whitei Hook (Skeels) were studied on the sexual behaviour and some fertility parameters of sexually inexperienced male rats. Animals were orally administered 100 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg of body weight (b.w) of either the aqueous or the hexane extracts of Mondia whitei whilst the control group received 10 mL/kg b.w of 0.3% Tween 80 once/day for 14 days. Their sexual behaviour was monitored on days 0, 1, 7 and 14 days of treatment…

Open Access•T B Nguelefack, Paulin Nana et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2006

  • Effects of the hexane extract of Mondia whitei on the reproductive organs of male rat

Open Access•Pierre Watcho, Mireille M Donfack et al.•ARTICLE•African Journal of Traditional…•2005

The present study investigates the effects induced by the long term oral administration of the hexane extract of the dried roots of Mondia whitei at doses of 500 and 1000 mg/kg b.w. on body and organ weights, biochemical (cholesterol, total proteins), haematological (WBC, RBC, haematocrit) and physiological (mechanical response of vas deferens to Norepinephrine) parameters of rats treated for 30 days. Results showed that Mondia whiteii did not af…
